PM said this year’s Inclusive Budget was a major shift to set a new strategic direction in our social policy. There were significant initiatives for the elderly, low and middle-income and the disabled.

Looking ahead, PM said that as Government spends more on social services, taxes must go up – not immediately, but certainly within the next twenty years. PM stressed that safety nets have to be coupled with self-reliance and resilience. He also urged those who have succeeded to help others succeed too.
